Get to know us, with a message from our Founder.
Before Colour Correct was a brand, it was a collection of conversations.
Conversations with women who sat in my makeup chair, attended my makeup workshops, trusted me with their skin and shared their beauty strengths, struggles, what worked and what didn’t.
I listened. And, more importantly, I learned.
My journey here was never a straight line.
From a small town in KZN, to the corporate world with a Business Science degree, my creativity eventually led me into the makeup world.
What began as a hobby in the early 2000's grew into a career in Professional Makeup Artistry, Makeup education, training aspiring makeup artists, and, finally, creating products that work for you.
My most important lessons didn’t come from a textbook or a boardroom. They came from each and every woman I met along the way.
As a bridal makeup artist, I spend hours layering products to create a beautiful, long-lasting, photograph-ready complexion.
But everyday women didn’t need more complicated routines.
They needed practical solutions.
They needed someone to listen.
And that is where Colour Correct began.
As someone whose skin tone and concerns weren’t always represented or prioritised by the beauty industry, and as a working mother, I understood many of these concerns personally.
I knew that concealer alone wasn’t always the answer. I understood the power of colour theory and colour correcting, but I also knew how confusing those techniques could feel.
So we simplified them.
There are no rules to makeup, but there are techniques.
Every Colour Correct product exists for a reason — inspired by real concerns and created to make beauty practical, effortless and easier to fit into real life.
Easy routines for everyday women.
And nine years later, Colour Correct is so much more than a beauty brand.
It belongs to the woman who told us her concealer wasn’t working.
The woman who felt intimidated by makeup.
The makeup artist who trusted and recommended our products to her clients.
And every woman who tried a product, gave us feedback, shared her experience or simply told a friend about us.

I could never have imagined where this journey would take me. Entering the makeup world has been a journey of taking leaps of faith, trusting my Creator to guide me, and learning every step of the way.
